Are you ordinary and how to become special?

Thesis from the Seeker: "But you are ordinary, just like the rest of us."

What are your arguments on that? Why am I ordinary? Why am I disposable material? I expect something like this:

all humans have almost the same DNA; the difference in any couple of humans is just some neglectable 0.2 percentage. So, I am different from Albert Einstein by no more than 0.2%, am I?

Seeker: "Because you and I are both human beings."

This is not the reason. We both have a leg, but this is not the answer to why I am disposable.
Why am I special and unique?

Because I choose to.

We are unique and social at the same time. Both are true.
This is reflected in the video below. Because not one but several persons were the True Love of the "Higher Being."

Malkav: "Everyone is unique except me."
Then you are unique as well. Thus, this is the proof for my sentence:
We are unique and social at the same time. Both are true.

Well you are pretty "special", certainly. When I read your posts I reflect that seeking to be special is not something that should be pursued at any cost;).

Selflessly here for you
Dear @questfortruth,

Everyone is uniquely special and that is not the paradox it may appear to be.

You are the only person with your exact experience and particular perspective on anything and everything that you encounter.

Nobody but you experiences being from your exact perspective.

I am ordinary, when I am ordinary and special, when I am special. That makes me both ordinary and special. That works for me. :)

In my opinion...

:pointup:We are 'special' or 'unique' because: What @Hermit Philosopher said is as succinct as I could hope to, in his post #3. Are you ordinary and how to become special?

:peace:We are 'disposable' or 'ordinary' because: considered collectively, the entire human species are merely a link on an unperceivably vast chain. All links will return to the dust they were forged from before the completion of the chain. No link is indispensable as the chain is interminably within the process of being crafted and without a fixed form, thus has no prerequisites, correct shape, or principle processes. While each link has a particular role to providing a crucial bit of data (objective specialness/uniqueness) that shapes and steers the links proceeding it, no previous link to our own came into existence for the sole purpose of resulting in any of us.

I like to give the illusion that I am ordinary. People tend to underestimate you when they have no idea what you are capable of.
Humans, naturally, want to live a year or two longer than the overall expectancy. But, do not forget your inner self, please.

I think you're taking my comment a little too seriously.

I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter if anyone is "special" or not. That just doesn't matter. It doesn't change what you ultimately are, and that is likely what those others who may have implied that you "weren't special" (or whatever it is that was said) were trying to say. That there is no level of fame, fortune, intelligence/genius, charisma, comedic proficiency, etc. that makes anyone become "more than human." They still take their craps every day. Still have to stop for pee breaks. Still die when the time comes. So, all you really get when you are considered "special" is some admiration or adoration from those around you... who are all also only human beings, all take their craps everyday, and stop for pee breaks. Their opinions do not inform you of your value. Your value to yourself is immeasurable, which is all that really matters.

I'm an ordinary average guy. Nothing special about that, but that's okay.

And so am I.
