Are You Satisfied?

I’m satisfied because my relationship with God is sound. Life is filled with blessings and I’m grateful.
I sure wish I could say the same. I am happy for you but you just made me realize all the more how much more work I have to do.

Sure, did a fair job as a parent and a grandparent. That's where my satisfaction lies.
I happy to allow the next generations to go forth into the future. I did my part.
I think you have done the most important job one can ever do. I had no children and thus no grands and that is a huge loss. However, I followed my conscience as it was the right thing to do since I was not in any condition to raise children and I wanted to spare any future generations the pain I have had to endure in life. I would never want to pass that along.

My request would be for a better model next time around.
I believe that request will be fulfilled since we will all have a spiritual body in the next life and it won't have any of the limitations and ailments and injuries that are sustained by our physical body.

If you were to lose your body and mind to death today, are you satisfied to surrender these “tools?”

If not, and if you don’t mind sharing, what is left to do?
Nope.
To do list (next 30 yes)
1) prevent global warming from getting worse
2) contribute to manned missions to Mars
3) contribute to developing the first viable fusion powered reactor.
Bit overambitious....

Many things are happening, but they will happen even without me. My grand daughter is getting engaged on 25th. My elder grandson will get admission to some college probably next month. I will like to participate and know. My son will take care of his mother, so that is not a problem. But if chance does not allow me to do so, that also will be OK. Que sera sera.

Yes, because I believe in one way or another, even after death, I’ll still be on this Earth completing my purpose, until it is done.

For me as a person it is many aspect of my own being i would want to understand and correct toward something better ( call it God). But if I die today I accept it as it would be God (in ny belief) that takibg me back.

I really need to divest myself of my character defects. The primary defect I would like to leave at the afterlife airport before takeoff is envy. There I said it and you're damn right I am worried, given what Baha'u'llah wrote about envy:

6. O Son of Earth!
Know, verily, the heart wherein the least remnant of envy yet lingers, shall never attain My everlasting dominion, nor inhale the sweet savors of holiness breathing from My kingdom of sanctity.

The Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah

But how can I not envy people who have a life with children and grandchildren when my whole life has been a holy living hell and I have nothing to show for myself but a bunch of college degrees? I feel utterly worthless whenever I hear people talk about what they have accomplished. :(

One may say a thousand things, but 'proof' is what mandates.

Yes i am satisfied with my life, I've probably done more than most at both extremes, bad and good experiences, lucky that the bad are past and the good is still around so surrendering to death is no biggie for me. But I'd rather not because i want to see my kids fledge.
