Which is yet another piece of evidence for how little meaning the concept of deity has.
Or, it is another piece of evidence for how meaningful the concept of God has.

I just don't see how that could possibly be.
If anything, it shows that it is (yet again) overvalued. Most people project it a lot of meaning, but even the scriptures themselves only rarely manage to present it as important.
I can.
I already have. See post #75.
Having read the post, I don't follow. Doesn't the fact that the same Vedas are varyingly understood to support both theistic and atheistic/pantheistic readings show how little meat there is in those bones?
Why are you equating pantheism with atheism?
I guess I agree with Dawkins (IIRC) who sees little difference.
There is little difference between pantheistic materialism and atheistic materialism (which, I suspect, is how Dawkins views pantheism). But there is a big difference between pantheistic idealism and atheistic materialism (because idealism and materialism are diametrically opposed to each other). Advaita is clearly pantheistic idealism, not atheistic materialism.
I think it is an example of how a culture is important when we consider anything, religion, theism or atheism.Or, it is another piece of evidence for how meaningful the concept of God has.
I take it that you see atheism and idealism as not very compatible?
I think it is an example of how a culture is important when we consider anything, religion, theism or atheism.
I don't see materialism and idealism as compatible. Of course, it all depends on how we define these terms. We can always redefine terms to make them compatible or incompatible with each other.
So, you see atheism as implying materialism?
