I am now used to God, he no longer amazes or inspires me

He is an established part of my mental furniture

Nothing for me to get excited about

Are you used to God?

I guess some people find that their mental deity puppet can get rather lived in where it just melts into the background.

In a manner of speaking.

I am quite the apatheist. And also quite the igtheist.

I guess at this point I just pass over mentions of god and attempt to learn what is truly being talked about.

Are you used to God?

I think of the Divine as my best friend and sometimes as a playmate. A few years ago I wrote this (and it still fits for me)

Divine Playmate

Dancing barefoot in the dew
with open heart nets
we chase after God
who flits here and there
teasing us.

Laughing, twirling
we try to catch Him
as He winks at us
and hides behind trees.

We race to the trees
and find him behind us
tapping us on the shoulders
flashing a big grin.

We try to surround Him
and find to our surprise
He's raining sunlight upon us
from above.

We sit and sigh and pine
and He dances over and
asks us to join a
heavenly waltz.

We ask Him to stay
and He says
"Catch Me if you can"
and races off again.

This game is so much fun
that we play it for ages
until He catches us
when least expected.

Who can ask for
a better game than this
and a better playmate
than our Divine Friend.

Come! Join us.
All can play this game.
He loves it when we try
as one
to catch Him in our heart nets.

I don't think there is one level of experiencing God. There is endless levels and the chosen intercessors who we cannot even fathom let alone God only know him to the degree he allows. Journeying to God is a never ending journey. The final stage (7th day...) is endless and never fully finished. This is why Quran says he created the earth and heavens in six days then established himself on the throne. He didn't say seven days, because the seventh is never complete.

All the stages before we get to the position of passing by all veils of light and being in his sanctity, are nothing, compared to the journey that begins from then on.

The furthest place of prostration is in the sky/heaven.

What we need to do for the next world is cultivate seeds, so that, they grow our relationship with God and that way our pace and speed and type of light returning to God would be better.

The next world is where God rewards deeds, while this world while there is light in terms of reward, it pales in comparison to the next.

The signs of God unseen and seen, physical or spiritual, analytical or intuitive, all work together, and we should always seek more certainty through such signs.

Not at all. In fact, despite being in my sixties, I still continue to get hit from time to time with the awe of the universe, and by extension, the awe of the one who created it.
