The US military is warning against the danger of troops over consuming energy drinks, saying it could do “some serious harm to your body.”

Army warns of new threat to troops: Energy drinks

I drink them occasionally for studying, and they are generally harmless in moderate doses. Not sure what the effect would be when used in military operations however since I have read that extreme physical activity combined with an already elevated heart rate due to caffeine intake can be a dangerous combination.

New threat? I thought it was pretty clear with names like red bull and monster, and reading the ingredients. I dont think the army really cares about long term health or long term anything though.
