This is going to be a multi-part discussion on what Christians believe to see the similarities and differences and come to an understanding of what we do have as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

So, the question for this thread,


"As a Christian (no matter which denomination) do you consider Jesus Christ to be the Son of God?"

Jesus was the "Son of God" as we are all the sons and daughters of God. We are the created, "God" is the creator. I must assume that as such we can or do reflect God's will and nature, just as our own children reflect us.

But as the Christ, Jesus becomes the ideal reflection of God's nature and will, and that makes him the exemplification of humanity as reflections of God. He's the benchmark. He's the living example. He is "God's spirit made flesh".

Yes, the man Jesus was the son of God. But in him contained the fullness of the Spirit of God making him God in the flesh.

(My denomination is Assemblies of God.)

What does "son of god" mean? Lots of people would say "yes" to your question but would mean different things by it.

i don't believe i know, Jesus is the son of God and NOT God himself,not on my own,but because i believe what Jesus word says.

(1).John 3:16,17- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,...

(2).John 5:30 -I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.


(3).Matt.12:50-For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (these scriptures are ALL i need to know Jesus wants me to do ONLY his Father's will). peace

I believe Jesus is the Son of God. The only One. God incarnate.

I'm loosely Anglican, by the way. (I attend and enjoy Anglican services, but do not agree with all of the dogma.)

this why God's word talks of people believing false teachings,and refusing to believe the truth,(Colo.2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ). many are taught to believe the scripture 2Cor.4:4,is directed to those who don't believe in a God. sadly it also applies to many of those who say they DO believe in a god.

many seem to claim they want to serve god,yet get very offended when the truth is brought to them. show me the truth of what i'm learning or doing wrong. i won't fight it,but try hard to change it. because i do want to serve God and really learn the truth. even if people hate or turn against me.Jesus spoke of this happening...(Matt.10:36,37 and Luke 21:16,17).

i would say i don't understand why many claim to believe in Jesus. yet refuse to understand or believe what he taught, but i already know why. true Jesus is looked upon as a God by many, so is satan, material things,even imperfect humans,(1 Cor.8:5,6- For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, [as there be gods many, and lords many,]. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him).

the scripture clearly shows Jesus is NOT Jehovah God, and there are two high beings not three in a bundle. and where from his words,did he ever said..."he is God and came as the son.?" or as someone told me," he is both God and son in Heaven" both are false beliefs and teachings of man. sent NOT by God ,but by satan,( 2Cor.11:13-15). though many would argue that they,or their love ones are ministers of god.

many also don't take the time to ask the true God for help when it comes to learning his word. ecause this would make them have to question what their minister teaches. yet many are taught to believe...you can't touch "men of god" when it comes to questioning his teachings. Jehovah knows there are so many who really do want to serve a god,but they're not getting the truth.in order to serve te God Jeus did/do. (Rom.10:2,3- For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God).

Isn’t anyone who claim to believe in Jesus, even understands what he’s plainly saying?, These are his words…
(1).John 3:16,17- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (Jesus didn’t say he sent himself, as a human, man said that)!

(2).John 5:30 -I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (he didn’t say he's doing what he want,but his Father’s will. No true God has to answer to anyone)!

(3).Jesus showed we HAVE to know the Father,(learn), since it’s him who send people to Jesus,(meaning learning from Jesus teaching). Any who say this isn’t true, Jesus told all who Jehovah sent to him,his name,(John 17:6 -I have manifested, (to make evidence by showing or displaying), thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word). These people believed and worshipped the God of Israel,(Jesus Father).

(4).Jesus said to gain everlasting life,we have to know his FATHER, as well as himself, (John 17:3 -And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent).

(5). Many are taught we’re doing Jesus will,I already showed when he said he’s doing his Father’s will. But Jesus also said if we are to be his spiritual family. We TOO should do his Father’s WILL,(Matt.12:50-For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother).

I’m an imperfect person who has to constantly fight when it comes to TRYING to live a way that’s pleasing to Jehovah, Trying to follow Jesus teachings. I believe Jesus when he says he has a Father,and is NOT the Father. Because I love Jesus and his Father more than even my family, they all now this! Many believe when Jesus say seek and you shall fine,ask and it should be given. He’s referring to material things,if that was the case he wouldn’t have ask one man to give up his riches and follow him.

No, Jesus wasn’t referring to material things,he knows that won’t save anyone. And you can’t take it with you, Jesus was speaking spiritually. If one really wants the truth, even if it means losing ALL you love, you will find and receive it. Many hate or call me names for saying what I’ve said and posting scriptures. But it’s NOT to say I’m all that,because I know I’m a little nothing. I just want many to see what I once didn’t. remember the scripture, I was blind,but now I see? Again, it’s spiritual, I didn’t understand God’s words,now I do, we ALL can. :D peace
