As Much As I Hate To Do It . . .

I'm not arguing with you. You go ahead and believe any source you want. For me to argue about it would distract me from the humor of thinking Info Wars was informative. I don't mean you're funny, I mean the notion Info Wars is a good source is funny.

I know. I understand. But, still begs the question, even though your sentiment is shared by the people at all of the events in the series, one has to wonder what the source of the people there must be? 'Cause damn. In the archaic years before the World Wide Wasteland, or Superhighway of misinformation one could expect the riff raff attending college campuses and political protests to be reasonably aware of what was going on. Prior, that is, to the media having been bought and the student loan bubble.

Who are the good sources?

The problem with that situation is people actually believe what Alex says. And they take that anger out on the public. Words have consequences and RW media's priority is to get their base as angry as possible towards democrats(liberals)

But the big thing about Obama, that so hugely differentiates him from Trump, is that Obama really did try to be inclusive, to be president for all Americans. Trump, on the other hand, very deliberately, and with great calculation, is seeking to turn red Americans into the enemies of blue Americans, and vice-versa. And it is working. And it is the world's oldest, most tried and true method of facilitating fascism.

Obama will never be known as a "great" president, but he was not a bad one. History will dump Trump into the wastebasket of worst Presidents ever.

I concur.

Try my approach.....side for or against policies, not the person.
This removes the blinding power love & hate from one's perspective.

That's fine if the issue is solely positions. When you have an extremely toxic person, the person himself is the problem. When the President lies so much that I don't believe anything he says, when he treats others like dirt while demanding adoration, when he disrepects women and minorities for what they are, when he does his best to be authoritarian ignoring the rule of law, when he foments violence and so forth, to ignore all that is basically to take this position:

Your response is exactly the kind of emotionally dysfunctional reaction to avoid,
ie, no mention of issues, just loathing for the individual. And then attacking the
messenger one of those "Only I have The Truth here!" images.....oh, so low.

I honestly did not type any of this trash that you replied to me about.

How the hell did this post show up under my name?

You're right.
I messed up in editing the quote in some manner I don't understand.
I'll fix it.

Sometimes if you start a post but leave it unfinished the text field in the next post you go to respond to will load that last post, or, more likely, if you copy and paste someone else's post and forget to copy the new one you paste the old one without realizing it.

Undoubtedly something like that.
I watch for those ghostly relics, & will even post them to immediately delete them.

Watch the news sometime over there in Italy. Not Sky news. I doubt you live in Italy anyways.
Part of the reason the carnival barker Alex was banned from platforms was inciting violence. And of course his viewers believe all the lies and then go out in public taking action based on lies.
If you can't follow the rules, you're gone.

I wouldn't put it past a source like Info Wars to used paid actors. But let's assume they didn't. Let's assume these are real people. Do you trust Info Wars to show you the lunatics on the other side too? Because you know both sides have lunatics.

And do you trust Info Wars to tell you what proportion of the whole the lunatics are? Are they less that 1%? Greater than 1%? Would Info Wars tell you if they were less?

Last, if the proportion of lunatics on the other side were greater than the proportion of lunatics on the side Info Wars hates, would Info Wars conscientiously tell you that?

All excellent points. I'm not endorsing Info Wars. All I know is that an Info Wars correspondent, shall we call him? went out to public demonstrations and made a lot of people who were standing around look really stupid. I would equally enjoy to see someone from the other side do the same but I haven't stumbled across them as of yet.

I don't have a horse in that race, I just would have expected people who took the initiative to attend these events be somewhat more informed, which I guess, is foolish on my part.

How naive of you. Has it not occurred to you that they are all ****ed up?
Aye, all are imperfect & agenda laden.
But agendas differ in direction & magnitude. Glean insight
by examining how opposing sources cover the same issue.
Where do they agree?
When disagreeing, that difference warrants consideration.
