Art is art. The medium and presentation are just aspects of the context within which it's being created and presented to us. Art can happen through music, dance, poetry, drama, fiction, sculpture, painting, drawing, and all kinds of combinations of these. Yet none of these methods and mediums are art by themselves. They are the tools and materials and contexts artists use to express themselves, to us.How do you rate street art?
Performance art?
Commercial art?
It's mostly just you. The majority of your fellow humans would agree that the Tate contains a lot of very good works of modern art. Keep in mind that your liking or not liking them has nothing to do with their being good or bad works of art. (The same is true for me.) Art is not created to be "liked" or "disliked". So it's efficacy does not rest on that value assessment.I've visited Tate Modern in London several times. I think the building itself is a work of art, but the stuff inside is generally ****e. Is it just me?
I keep seeing folks asking to be asked about subjects that are important to them, and that they're presumably knowledgeable about. So I've decided it's my turn. Ask me about art. It's a subject I think is important and that I do know a lot about.
For all our sake.Art for arts sake?
Only Thou's art is in heaven, or so I've heard is said.Is Art in Heaven?

Sadly for Art G., the artist was Paul Simon. Art Linkletter ... not. Nothing against him, but he was an entertainer. Not an artist.Art Linkletter might be.
