About Rival.

I'm kinda bored and a lot of folks have started these sorts of threads recently so I thought I might jump on the wagon.

This is not a debate area so if I give an opinion that you strongly disagree with or something, you're welcome to strongly disagree in private and not start a debate because this isn't the place.

:)

Is Zoroastrianism living religion? If not, what is it?
What do you mean a living religion? If you mean do folks actively practice it around the world then yes, it's active with 200,000 practitioners. It's not many at all, but it's certainly not in its grave.

Why did you choose Zoroastrian?
It's the religion that makes the most sense to me. It's simple, it makes sense and had none of the conundrums associated with Abrahamic faiths. I tried Norse Paganism once but I lean very strongly towards monotheism. Also there are no miracle stories and strange prophecies. M beliefs were pretty Zoroastrian before I became a Mazda worshipper, I just hadn't a name for it.

Zoroastrian theology includes a duty to protect nature, so it's world's first ecological religion.
Is this important to you?

How do you practice your religion?
By praying, lighting candles, remembering God, trying to act in accordance with Nature (The Cosmic Order, Asha), doing Good Deeds and saying Good Words. Basically by avoiding doing evil. Mazdayasna also doesn't give strict rules as to what and what i good or bad, because Ahuramazda created us to think for ourselves.

Do you know your guardian spirit?
Does he make your life different?
Can he help you, protect you from evil and chaos?
Is he making your free will stronger?
