I was gonna start an interview thread about anarchism, since I'm an anarchist and it's not very well-understood.

Or I was gonna start an interview thread about autism, since I'm autistic and it's not very well understood.

Or I was gonna start an interview thread about synesthesia, since I'm a sound to color synesthete and it's pretty cool.

But I couldn't pick between those three, so I'm starting this thread instead. Ask me about any of those things, or whatever else you feel like.

What would your flavor of anarchy look like?

Networks of self-sufficient communes. Food would be produced locally thru permaculturally methods - there would be no factory farming or monocrop agriculture. Transportation that uses fossil fuels would be phased out and eventually eliminated. Expect more dirt and brick roads, more bicycles and boats. Electricity would come mostly from solar panels and water wheels. Each community would have an assembly area for public disputes to be settled thru consensus decision-making, dissensus decision-making (http://new-compass.net/articles/against-consensus-dissensus) or another process along those lines. Delegates could volunteer to visit inter-community gatherings (a bit like the Icelandic Commonwealth) to coordinate larger-scale projects. Economically I would prefer a gift economy (kinda similar to a potlatch) but I'd be down for a mutualist market as well.

Are there any drawbacks to synesthesia?

I guess it can be a bit hard to concentrate on the patterns and read or something at the same time maybe?

Do you wish you had other types?

I kinda experience number to color and letter to color (also days of the week) but it's faint and inconsistent. I guess it would be cool to have that more strongly. It would also be neat if my specific sub-subtype of audiovisual synesthesia gave me perfect pitch, but it most certainly doesn't.

Boxers or briefs.

Boxers for loose pants, briefs for tight pants.

Brine cured or smoked bacon?

Smoked, but bacon isn't one of my favorite meats tbh. I'm more into chicken and bison.

Your favorite cartoons?

Kid cartoons: Animaniacs, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. throw in Dexter's Lab and Invader Zim while you're at it.
Not for kids: Futurama, Bojack Horseman, Rick & Morty. I would say South Park but the quality is way too much of a zigzag.

How much does you autism affect you and how does it a effect you, are you normal or not ?.

I have Asperger's specifically, which is no longer diagnosed separately from autism in general. I always tended to call myself an "autistic person", anyways - "person with Asperger's" is too medical, "Aspie" is too cutesy and I like showing solidarity with people elsewhere on the spectrum. Some aspects of it are difficult and often frustrate me. For instance, I have trouble properly understanding and controlling my volume, and I can panic severely in certain social scenarios. But it's also an integral part of my personality and the way I perceive the world. I wouldn't want to be cured, given the chance. I just want to be a more successful, stable and self-actualized version of the person I actually am.

Interesting, I myself have schizophrenia, but I would never want to not be schizophrenic, it has truly made my life worth living, even though there are times that it can almost kill me.

That's very bold of you when you consider how many misconceptions there are about schizophrenia. I have friends who are psychotic and they're awesome people. (might as well mention that I also have general anxiety and OCD but find that more bothersome and I don't really like to talk about it as much.)

What are your thoughts on "free love"? do you view it as part of your anarchism?

I don't really use the term myself, but in a sense it would be. I fully support universal access to contraceptives and I do think that the state should not have a role in marriage. If it does, I'd much rather have gay marriage be treated equally, but it simply should not be a legal question at all imo. I don't think that monogamy is inherently oppressive but I do think that it's oppressive to treat jealousy as some sort of virtue and to call all relationships outside of strict monogamy immoral. Absolute freedom of sexual and gender expression is one of my core political values.
