I assume it depends on the number of people viewing the thread. I'm pretty sure the system can differentiate between different members and non-members viewing, i.e., people aren't counted twice, though I may be wrong.

No, we don't usually do this. We offer voluntary bans.

Well there is day release - that is, we can delete posts before the day is out. (There is a Delete button next to the Edit one)

Deleting all comments would make
discussions they were in inscrutable.

But forums do die, & everything disappears.
It happened to one I was in before RF.

Well, technically you can, but most likely we won't comply.

Just one of the reasons it's important to read the fine print before signing anything.

I can name @Polymath257 , @Dan From Smithville , @Subduction Zone , @It Aint Necessarily So , and at least half a dozen have departed our hallowed pages. There are also a few using different usernames, who will deny all knowledge of the forum in question.

Interesting, i was going to list those who are no longer with us. But the @name doesn't work even though their accounts are apparently still listed...
