Though there is not much that you can tell me about Islam, kindly accept greetings from a Hindu member who welcomes you to Religious Forums.

Hello, Zahra, and welcome to Religious Forums.

Your stand is sensible. As human beings, we tend to make judgements about other belief systems without listening to them first. As an atheist, I, and other atheists, receive this as well. Much of the information we tend to receive about other belief systems comes from those of our own belief systems, and not from others of the belief system itself.

Asking each other questions is a part of what Religious Forums is all about. I hope that you are open to hearing what those of other beliefs have to say because what you have been told about other beliefs might not be accurate.

I'll see you in the forums!

Welcome to the forum zahra67.

I have a question for you. Please explain to me what is the meaning of this passage of the Quran, Sura 17:
101. And indeed We gave to Musa (Moses) nine clear signs. Ask then the Children of Israel, when he came to them, then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to him: "O Musa (Moses)! I think you are indeed bewitched."

102. [Musa (Moses)] said: "Verily, you know that these signs have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as clear (evidences i.e. proofs of Allah's Oneness and His Omnipotence, etc.). And I think you are, indeed, O Fir'aun (Pharaoh) doomed to destruction (away from all good)!"

103. So he resolved to turn them out of the land (of Egypt). But We drowned him and all who were with him.

104. And We said to the Children of Israel after him: "Dwell in the land, then, when the final and the last promise comes near [i.e. the Day of Resurrection or the descent of Christ ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) on the earth]. We shall bring you altogether as mixed crowd (gathered out of various nations).[Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 10, Page 338]
