20. At 18 my mum kicked me out and I lived in my dad's converted garage with my ex for a while until we were gifted money enough for a house deposit.

I have been living with my boyfriend for about a year and a half. I first moved out (technically) when I was 20.

I was 18. 2 months after high school graduation I "shipped out" ;) That is, I went to Navy boot camp.

I moved out when I got married at 21. My sister left when she was just 18, but I really didn't see the need. I wasn't paying rent or anything and I had no curfew. Besides, my parents had told me they'd pay for my college education as long as I was at home, but that when I moved out, I'd have to pay for it myself. I'd have been dumb to leave any earlier.

I was 17. I left home a couple months after graduating high school and got a job in Lake Louise. Then I went to Europe.

I've gone home to regroup a few times, for a few weeks up to a couple months. Mostly after traveling or between cities or countries when I've been moving from one to another. I have a good relationship with my mother and she was always happy to have me back for a while. I usually did something for her while I was there. Built her a slate patio, redid the gutters on her garage, etc.

Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to buy a house before the property bubble, which still hasn't burst in Canada, so the market gradually priced me out of being able to live independently, travel and change jobs every year or two. Now my husband and I live with my grandmother, which has been a pretty good situation for everyone, since she is getting too old to live on her own and we were pretty much broke when we moved to Canada from the UK. My hubby didn't get his work permit for almost 2 years.

I'm pretty satisfied with how things have gone, but I don't think the way I lived my life so far is possible for young people any more, which is a shame.

February. We had rainstorms, then, too. But it wasn't so hot when I went. ;):D

Lucky. :p

For some reason they liked to have us put on our utility jackets with our raincoats on top and have us do marching drills in the rain on the grinder. It was so damn hot that we were soaked through. Rain from above, steam from below, and sweating at the same time.:help::D
