Atheist, Christian, and Baha'i Cosmologies

Yes, our current scientific understanding of how the Universe works doesn't preclude scientists believing in God.
There is a key distinction there. I was talking about what our current understanding of the universe says about the existence of any gods. That understanding doesn't include the existence of any gods but nor does it dismiss the idea (though it can contradict some specific religious beliefs or claims). That is about fact and knowledge.

That is entirely different to what individuals believe. The vast majority of scientists won't even work in fields that are in any way relevant to the existence of gods and so their job has no more to do with their personal beliefs as most other jobs would. That's about belief and faith.

Here's where I disagree. I don't believe that was the intention. I didn't detect disrespect for atheists in the video. It was just matter of fact.
I don't think he's disrespecting atheists (much), more that he is disrespecting science. As I said, by labelling basic scientific fact as "atheist cosmology" is about creating a false dichotomy between science and belief in gods or religion (or maybe a result of recognising actual contradictions between his personal beliefs and established scientific understanding).

It's just a simplified view of atheists by one person. I do believe in the scientific perspective, as do other Baha'is. Science and religion go hand-in-hand. He did say that in effect later in the video.
Sure he said it as a marketing slogan, however his claim to be scientific is contradicted by his actions of dismissing the scientific cosmology as "atheist".

When he did that he was saying that in his mind you can't be a believer and accept the scientific facts he presented.

This is the part that strikes me as strange though. You seem to agree that he is peddling superstition yet promoted his video anyway.

Why not just make your own video, or if speaking is not your thing and their are many "other Baha'is" that share the scientific cosmology why not ask one of them to make a video? It would make more sense to my mind than promoting a superstitious speaker.

Did you see the part where there needs to be harmony between science and religion? He didn't say anything about any contradictions he saw I don't think.

Remember this is a simplified version of atheists. Science as you said is neutral about the existence of God. You can believe in science and religion. There are other reasons besides materialism or science that influence people to be atheists.

Why? Seems as pointless as saying that water is only wet.
It comes across as being dismissive - *I dont have to consider your evidence based opinion because "its only an opinion"*

I just laugh it off because I believe it won't sway a critical thinker.
