It's a wonderful device that predates the bow and arrow, and upped our hunting and defense game, for long distances.

The distances that this tool can be thrown is insane.

I have used a couple atlatls. They are hard to hit where you aim ..it must take a lot of practice. It would be cool to kill a deer with one.
