Avatars in a mirror ?

Apparently, a dog owner 'looks' like his/her dog. I have noticed this myself, and I am not sure if it is because the Character of the owner rubs off on the pet (which I am sure is true), but I am sure that people can be matched to their pets.

On a totally different tack (but there is some sanity behind my madness), I think that Avarats tell something about the forum Member. Would you agree ?

I was put in mind of this just now, seeing a post by Painted wolf; I see her as being so knowledgable (and 'at one') with animals, that her avatar does her justice. Thoughts ?;)

If avatars reflect the member (which I think they normally do) then does that make you a strangley dressed fool?:biglaugh:

i think the avatars reflect the way that the member would like to be perceived by others, or how they perceive themselves. Which usually is a true reflection, but some people don't always match up with the way they want to be percieved....make sense?

I think your correct, in my case, my avatars reflect things I love, like the surfing, which to me is both representive of spiritual yearnings and freedom. And enivormental issues as well.

So, I guess yours reflects the beauty of a flower in bloom. And purity of nature.:)

Yeah, I definitely think of people by their avatars. Like I used to think Maize looked different, but now I think she looks like that woman in her new avatar (whoever that is). I thought Darkdale was some old scottish guy, until I saw a picture of him. I thought Deut was a very mean old man, and then a calm younger guy when he changed to jayhawker (and changed his avatar) and now I just see him as an oldish jew. People's avatars always give me very vivid impressions of them, and then when they change their avatars, I have to change my impression, and if I see a picture of them I have a lot of changing to do, because (to answer your question) I think avatars look nothing like the person.

Oh, I think the flowers say much about you :), and you expressed it so very well yourself.

Thanks, Jensa! *huge hugs* I picked it out only because I like the series, but I'm honored if people see a bit of me in it.

It makes Michel someone who is open to new possibilities, always on the brink of a new adventure, not jaded and closed in by what one thinks one knows. I think Michel's avatar suits him very nicely. :)

Why thank you, Lilithu. I vaguely thought to change it, but that is the card with which I always associate myself - although there are bits of different me's; the hermit is one.......;)
