Awe and Wonder

I don't understand.

I can help.

There is a famous verse: "Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." My friend and brother is equating ( relating? ) Love with the Lord. He is certain of that part. The question is at the end. Here is how I would write it, and perhaps @Fool will correct me, or refine it further.

IF fear of the lord ( love ) is the beginning of wisdom, what is wisdom? Is it light? Is it understanding? Is it ... seeing? ( Ref Proverbs 9:10 )

The other important part to decoding the question is that the question is referring to "buzz-words" which are, themseves, individually and as a group, vehicles for deep contemplation in the mind:

  • The Lord ( YHVH )
  • Love
  • Wisdom
  • Light
  • Understanding
  • Seeing
  • Knowledge ( included in the verse but omitted from the question )

awesome

Well, it's worse than war, it's worse than death
There ain't too many left who ain't been
Eaten by the monster of love (Don't let it get me)
Buy a dog, and that might help
But sometimes though, a dog gets grabbed and
Eaten by the monster of love (Don't let it get me)
It ain't a pretty sight to see the way it leaves 'em (Don't let it get me)
It chews them up and spits out creatures
With those goo-gooey eyes, sick, sickly smiles
It just isn't right - Eaten by the Monster of Love - Sparks

Why would these things be scary?

my you look delicious, i could just eat you up with a sop bread

Somebody bring me some water
Can't you see I'm burning alive?
Can't you see my baby's got another lover?
I don't know how I'm gonna survive
Somebody bring me some water
Can't you see it's out of control?
Baby's got my heart and my baby's got my mind
But tonight the sweet devil, the sweet devil's got my soul - bring me some water - melissa etheridge

They are? They feel really different for me.
some folk don't like that feeling of being out of control. when love has that hook in their nose..........................gotcha.

love is greater than the sum of it two parts.

a bond that puts two in bondage as one.

like platos allegory of the chariot. two souls becoming one driving force...............love

:blueheart: There's plenty more where that came from. How much can you eat? :blueheart:

Words, playing me deja vu
Like a radio tune, I swear I've heard before
Chill, is it something real?
Or the magic I'm feeding off your fingers - come undone - duran duran

IndigoGirls. Same genre. Same era. Same message.

I have spent nights with matches and knives,
Leaning over ledges, only two flights up.
Cutting my heart, burning my soul.
Nothing left to hold,
Nothing left but, blood and fire.

You have spent nights, thinking of me
Missing my arms, but you needed to leave.
Leaving the cuts, leaving my burns,
Hoping I'd learn.

Blood and Fire
Are too much for these restless arms to hold.
And my nights of desire are calling me,
Back to your fold.
And I am calling you, calling you from 10, 000 miles away
Won't you wet my fire with your love, babe?

This is very important.

Who has who.

If you grapple with me? I've got you, too. It's taught a lot more in the eastern traditions which incorporate physical movement and martial arts into their spiritual practice. Keep that in mind. And look at my avatar. What is it? Am I helping? Am I arm-wrestling? Is there a difference? Same-difference? One-ness. At-one-ment? I got you, friend. In more ways than one, but all those ways are converging.

Agreed?

They are very different. They are inverses of each other. But inverses have the same form, just, inverted.
Are they? Fear seems... protective. Strong. But, I fear very little, so I think when fear comes in, its probably trying to move me out of the way because injury's coming.

Awe... full of love.

what love has joined together, let no man put asunder.
