With regards to Hunter Biden's legal problems it could create difficulties as follows. If one action would help with the paternity case but would hinder his legal position in other cases (such as a Congressional investigation) that would be a difficulty. With regards to President Biden he has avoided publicly acknowledging this child as much as he could. It would obviously be harder to do so if it shares his name.
