Before I came to RF

We Never Know

No Slack
Before I came to RF I never realized there are so many open gays, so many open transgenders, so many strict bible believers and so many different religions that accept a god but yet not the same god, etc.

With that said I also never realized how so many blame others for their situation.

And with that said I never realized the extent the dems go to blame the repubs and the repubs go to blame the dems. How the religious blame the athiest and how the athiest blame the religious. Its pitiful.

I'm not here to praise anyone, baby anyone or give special treatment to anyone. It is what it is Life is life. Its tough sometimes. It seems some paths we take are tougher than paths others take but unless we walk the same paths, we know nothing of the paths we have each walked or how tough it was.

When you put your personal life on a public forum its open to be addressed and questioned. Just look at the religious and political threads for a perfect example.

After spending a few days reading several threads and posts, this song is what came to mind...

You point at others' ridiculousness, and say you won't "baby" others, yet this post reeks of sensitivity, and the fact it exists at all is quite ridiculous. Don't join a debate forum if you don't want to see debate.

I hear you @We Never Know.

I never realized just how closed-minded, self entitled, and out-of-control emotionally so many people are in our society until I started hanging out on the internet.

It's really made me feel good about myself by comparison. :p
(was nice to find out that at worst I'm average)

Well I have learned so much from my time here (still learning) - as to so many dogmatic beliefs being expressed (but how prevalent in the wider population?), as to so many not realising where accurate information might be obtained, and as to our (some, that is) ability in ignoring that which is irrelevant or might just entangle one into meaningless discussions/arguments, and such being our choice (some, apparently again).

He wants to know if he's better or worse
than the typical / average poster.
There's something else going on that many may be overlooking, it's the fact that there can be tremendous value in posts from those that think differently than we do. The point is that we don't learn much from just those we agree w/, other than how wonderful and smart we are. Often we can't see and know everything and we can only find out about it from others who've gone other directions.

Just a thought.
