"Being Blessed" What good will it do?

Headr

I Am Blessed
"Being Blessed" What good will it do? The reason I ask this is because quite some time ago, my neighbors (who are Pentecostal) had their preacher at their house one day. My sister was outside and the preacher sees her from afar and tells my neighbors that he needs to "bless" our door way because of the way she looked. She has unnatural colored hair (bright red) and wears black.

When I was told about this, I was alarmed a little upset because I felt it was wrong to have judged her in such a way to think he should invade our boundaries and bless our home because he "apparently" automatically saw her as a devil-worshiper. Well, for one, my sister is an atheist. Therefore, she believes in no God or Satan, or anything spiritual. Her believes are based upon science. I, however, am a Christian (just like my neighbors and the preacher) but I believe in freedom of religion and I do not judge another individual's beliefs. I believe it was wrong of this preacher to judge her and say what he had said.

What are your thoughts? Was he wrong to have said that and judged her based on her appearance? Why do some Christians automatically think someone is a devil-worshiper because they are dressed in black or dress unnatural? I do not understand. Will someone please enlighten me?:shout

It's not really his place to say anything like that in any case. And one should never judge a person based on their looks. Some years ago I had a look which made me look like a hippie (still have the image on my passport, gonna be sad the day I have to get a new one :p). Yet I have never been into any of that hippie stuff. So, judging me by my looks would have given you a completely wrong impression of me. :)

However, some Christians tend to base everything on stereotypes. Which means that stuff like black clothes, rock, etc. becomes evil things in their eyes. Things that must mean that you're worshiping the devil. Which is sad for them, because they miss out on a lot of good stuff while believing they are evil. :(

That was wholly inappropriate and uncalled for, and I'm sorry that you had to go through that.

some people are quit funny. Who is he to judge your sister? Even if what he thought about her was true. He has no business judging another human being. That is God's Business.
