Being Human and Sin

I have a related question:

According to the Abrahamic faiths, we all have a sinful nature and are born with sin. So, if it's impossible for any full human to choose never to sin, then do we actually have free will to choose never to sin? To that effect, is free will only meaningful for choosing to worship a god or not? They why all this suffering on earth?

consider starting a thread with your question. it's worth it's own thread.

Sin is a transgression against a gods law. Some fully human beings are atheist and have no god therefore cannot sin
sin is just another word for error. obviously everyone errs due to lack of knowledge and/or experience. other as self is not necessary to err, or commit an error.

etymology

the word god is only used twice in that whole idea from websters

Definition of SIN

I don't really care the OED is quite specific.

So let's also look at the American standard

What is 'Sin'?

The original meanings of sin were largely concerned with religious matters (“a transgression of religious law,” “an offense against God”).

everything isn't about some anthropomorphic god somewhere else.. or otherwise. i asked about humans and sin, if error is a better word for you, then go with it. god was not used in the original OP

assuming it was is an error in itself
