Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) - Anyone know of this?

This is a somewhat difficult post to write, and I am not sure it is in the right place. I am informed that most of the cases of this arise at over age 65, so I picked Retirement. On January 20, 2024 I suffered a significant attack of Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (embedded link). When I woke up severely dizzy around 4:30 a.m., after going to the restroom I took my temperature (normal) and my blood pressure (also normal, but when I had something like this years ago it had spiked.

I saw my internist the following Tuesday, and a neurologist a week later. Since then , I have been recovering, with some issues. It is bad enough that I canceled a pending trip to Israel in March.

Hopefully there will be better times ahead for your trip, for you and Israel both.

BPPV was easily treatable with the "Epley" maneuver. Home Epley Maneuver It worked for me a couple of times with no other treatment needed.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I have it but it's still pretty mild and am undiagnosed. It's worse however when I walk in the dark.

Thanks. I canceled that trip. The trip was a volunteer mission. I was not about to ruin it for the other 20 volunteers. Thanks for your wishes.
