Bible to be banned from local hospital

The Bible is to be removed from all bedside tables at Bournemouth Hospital;

NOT because of prejudice, but in the hope of slowing the spread of MRSA virus, which, it is thought may well be being passed around by patients reading the Bible without first washing their hands.:eek:

Kind of ironic.. ;)
One would think that patients who did believe in God could bring in their own Bibles (or get someone to buy them one)..
A tiny miniscule fraction of my taxes are going to pay for those hospital bibles!! Its wrong I tell you.. lol..

1) Do they have any evidence that viruses are spread via contact with paper? I would bet against it, but I'd consider a proof source.

2) Over here, the Gideons place Bibles in hospitals and hotels, so no tax payer money is involved. :p

3) I guess that means they'll have to remove everything else from hopsital rooms that people might touch without washing their hands. :D
