Biden makes no sense.

How can this not be a problem?

Biden has had a stuttering problem since his youth. It is not as horrendous as Trump's dishonest, immoral and unethical problems. For example can you explain Trump' dangerous dishonest misleading the American public public concerning the pandemic he knew about, and failed to provide the leadership to act early and aggressively to deal with the pandemic.

Well. CNN of all places.

That is not CNN. That is some YouTuber called J W , who has quite obviously spliced together (very badly) different bits of Biden's speech, recorded from CNN who transmitted the speech. For instance, you can hear the disconnect between adjacent sections very clearly at the 3 second mark.

It appears you are in the Conservative Republican vogue to reference unethical dishonest degrading edited references to justify a dishonest, unethical degrading agenda. The usual modus operandi of the Conservative right.

As usual, watch the thread become about Trump.
On NPR the other day, Uncle Joe talked about
replacing "iridescent" light bulbs. He sure knows
technology.
2020 is the year of Dumb vs Dumber.

I watched this speech in real time on one of the MSM outlets (CBS, I believe). This is exactly what he said (or attempted to say). This is not the first, nor will it be the last indication that the man is an empty suit. However, even more disconcerting are the posters in this thread denying his incompetence or even defending this cretin. It's becoming painfully apparent that most of these folks will never be able to carry on a thoughtful and objective political conversation this election season. I guess I shouldn't be surprised....

More likely unethically dishonest with an unethical dishonest agenda.

That's unfair and not the sort of talk we need more of in this country. All talk like this does is reinforce the bullying that our current "president" is guilty of themselves - generalizing unfairly and incorrectly about his political opponents to sow strife and division.

He misspoke in a speech. It sounded silly. He has a bad habit of stumbling over his words when giving speeches.

He wasn't my pick in the primary. But this certainly isn't a reason for me to switch my vote to someone else in the general.

I wish we'd spend more time talking about policy than about these silly gaffes.

Whenever you take just 12 seconds of somebody discussing a difficult topic -- and of course, only those 12 seconds you suppose will do the most damage -- you are doing everybody a disservice. Every single one of us has had many moments just like that, when we were struggling to find the right words when we were under pressure. I always hate it when it happens to me, but happen it does.

Add to that the fact that you know (or ought to be now) that Biden struggled with a stammer (stutter), which is a very hard thing to overcome, and is almost never completely vanquished, and I think you are being very unfair.

You see? When you include that additional 6 seconds, it is apparent that Biden makes a valid point, and was just struggling with a word mix-up early in the clip. He was obviously working on two thoughts at once, "more than 100,000 lives" and "more lives than anything else in the last 100 years." That can happen to anybody when speaking extemporaneously.

I dont remember that courtesy ever reflected with Bush jr.

Even CNN had acknowledged Bidens cognitive issues alongside Trump. I was surprised to see it was not just another hit piece, but a fair and balanced assessment.

Well then, vote for Trump for all I care -- and kiss your democracy goodbye.

Let's assume that Biden periodically stumbles on his own words, which I do agree with btw, if I constantly stumbled on my own words and was quite dull-of-mind, I too would be a Trump supporter. :p
