But then she became useful to Joe as because she met the "black woman" qualification for VP. Hasn't done anything to show that she has any other qualifications.

The thought that this kind of rhetoric will be more and more on display for at least the next few months is not the most appealing in the world...

Harris is a race chameleon. One day she's black, the next day she's Asian, and the day after that , she's Native American.
I think she learned that behavior from her boss who claims some part of whatever demographic or group he was speaking to.
One day she may even claim to have been a male at one point.

I think it has to do with how republicans complain about Biden's age but it is somehow not an issue with Trump
Could it be a double....

Ehhhh... The fact that Biden is bowing out specifically because of his age kind of makes it true, though
No, not specifically his age. If he was slurring his words and being incoherent in this thoughts and words as a 40-something, the need to drop out would be exactly the same.

And is Trump immune from this fate in a few years? Honestly when you see him young vs. now the decline is obvious

Perhaps this round of Covid has been his wake-up call. Even with a fevered flu, a President must be able to think clearly. I know being that sick takes all my focus and energy, and I'm 15 years younger than him.
Replacing someone because "we lost faith in them" might not be a good reason. I don't know.

However I almost want to predict a medical issue will soon be announced for his exit, which will provide a good legit reason.
But if that's announced it will bring in questions of his remaining term.

No one is immune from anything ever.
We do with the best we have. Right now, the best man for the job of president is Donald J. Trump.

Something has previously occurred to me about this scenario: Democratic voters chose Biden in the primaries, so doesn't dropping out without giving a compelling reason pose a risk of alienating some of those voters or making them feel like the party didn't respect their choice?

They really shouldn't have been hammering Biden to drop out while he is sick with COVID. It is really sick to take advantage of someone while they are sick (pun intended). Couldn't they have at least waited until he was recovered so that he could have made a sound decision? As it is, it's almost as if they forced him out under duress.
