Biden signs executive order that could bring U.S. one step closer to a digital currency

Isn't it enough that another half baked plan is being hatched by Biden and his cronies to screw up our economy further still with shady crypto/digital currency market being thrown into the mix?

I think its yet another massive disaster in the making on top of all the other disasters this regime has made already for this country.

Is anyone looking forward to something like this?

Digital currency is very different from crypto currency. Most countries are moving towards a government bank backed digital currency. Very different from crypto currency which is not backed by any govt. bank and works through encryption technology.

I know to little about it to be honest.

My biggest concern in general with all these digital things, is when they start to get hacked or misused etc. We know that people pretty much always find ways of either cheating with these things or find loop holes or other ways of exploiting it, that is my biggest concern.

But again, I know to little about it.

There is a huge difference between digital monetary exchange and cryptocurrencies.

The former is just a computer-assisted method to use existing, established currencies for their original purpose, while the latter is to a significant degree essentially a computer-assisted pyramid scheme specifically designed to benefit early adopters, and largely useless as an actual payment method in practice.
