Biden v Trump The big fight Thurs 27 June 2024

To me it's about whether or not this debate is genuine or fixed/rigged/fake/etc.

Here are some questions I can think of:

Do they think conscription is constitutional?
Do they think the US should support, in any way, the genocide, destruction, and atrocities happening in Gaza?
Would they do a full, open, public audit of the Federal government's gold supply, such as in "Fort Knox" depository & elsewhere?
Where do they stand on the 1st clause of the 1st Amendment? Are they for it or against it?
Are the for or against the 2nd Amendment?
Do they want to raise or lower taxes?
Where do they stand on our existing federal tax policy? Would they be for replacing it with a 1% flat tax rate?

The more of questions like this that are asked, the more likely I'll be persuaded that it's genuine.

How the hell do you think you can "rig" two people debating one another?
Simple - all 3 parties involved (CNN, Trump, and Biden) could be in cahoots with each other. Yeah yeah yeah, "conspiracy theory! conspiracy theory!" I don't care if that's what pops in your head, I said it knowing that could happen anyways.

Anyone who's genuinely surprised by this ought to look into a book called 1984 by George Orwell.

I want to know more about the economy.
There will be questions about the economy, I am sure. I am betting that Trump will only make false claims where he takes all of the credit for the economy that he inherited from Obama and not even acknowledge how Covid threw a wrench into things. He won't have any clear policy on how he will make the economy better.

Biden on the other hand was given an economy in the midst of the pandemic and he has brought it almost back to normal. I do not blame Trump for the bad economy that he ended up with. He could have handled the pandemic better, but the economy would still have been in bad shape no matter what he did.

Oh, that's brilliant. Two contenders for one job (the White House) conspiring about which one will win? And what does the loser gain from throwing the fight?

Oh, poop -- I just thought of something. Trump could agree to take the fall if Biden will agree to pardon him!

Must we know hype it like a PPV brawl? Big fight? Why oh why can't we just have a debate?
Dear Shadow wolf. Please do NOT go into Politics.Your much to innocent.Have the rest of you ever heard of a Politician who directly answers the question asked or actually has an intelligent debate.? Europe used to do these debates in a civilised manner but sadly are following the USA. Example - direct attack on families.Voters scratching their heads we know someone is lying but who exactly?.Its getting to the stage where you wonder if it is easier to be like Putin (just jail all opponents, have a cup of tea and cut out the rubbish).

For those with access, there is an interesting article in the New York Times on CNN's absolute control of this debate.
Good innovation to blank out speakers that exceed time.Think we agree CNN were as fair as Fox would be.No favours.Wonder how they decided.Coin toss? as premium viewing worldwide.

The article discusses the following:

1. CNN is in total control. They choose the moderators, the stage, the set design and so on.

2. CNN has been struggling, but they outmaneuvered their competitors to land this exclusive opportunity.

3. Candidates will be muted when it’s not their turn to speak. It will be interesting how this will play out given Trump’s history of flaunting the rules.

4. The debate will be simulcast by other networks but they must show the CNN logo.

5. There will be two ad breaks during the 90-minute debate. Somewhat unconventional. The other networks can show ads but CANNOT have their anchors come on and provide commentary.
Did they bid more? (how much if you know)
