Pre - debate prep – What questions would you like CNN debaters. To pose to President Biden and President Trump (I say President Trump as I think he will win)

Post-debate – Who do YOU think won the debate? This after watching on 27 June 2024.Who will you vote for after the debate?.

Can't wait.Stock up on the pop corn (and aspirin).

Questions that I would like to pose.

President Biden:AI is the future revolution. It will take jobs from Truck drivers to radiographers. In the next 20 years. Productivity means AI jobs for clever people in IT.However relatively lots more unemployed people in totality.

What should the unemployed do? Sleep in tents and watch TV all day?

President Biden:China and India have the gas pedal down. They will burn oil and gas to fuel their industrial expansion in the coming decade. Why should very low developed countries ask only USA to “pollute and pay”. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
*************************************************************

President Trump: I am absolutely sure that you will win - narrowly. This debate will be watched live from India to Nigeria to Canada. Viewers are mystified. Ms Nikki Haley, Liz Truss are like Rottweiler’s. They strain at the leash. Russians and Ukrainians are dying as a result of Putin’s invasion. There is one person however does not rebuke Mr Putin or his war.

Even in the mildest times terms “President Trump”. Please explain.

Supplementary question.

President Biden is to polite to ask. Religious forum social media are made of sterner stuff. Please clarify if Paul Manafort, Ms Veselnitskya (Magnitsky act opponent) met in Trump Tower on June 9 2016.If so. Exactly why please?

God Bless America.

ps President Trump: Rumors are swirling. When President Government employees will be part of Project 2025.(Heritage Foundation?) Will some government employees possibly face the sack. Will they need to be "loyal" and would this be good USA democracy in action for the world to see? if true.

Please confirm or deny.

Must we know hype it like a PPV brawl? Big fight? Why oh why can't we just have a debate?
Trump is involved.
Now since Trump is likely the worst debater in all the history of bad debaters, it makes sense that Trump and CO. will have to get the debate as far from an actual debate as possible.

Of course, IF Trump shows up, they have to let him speak.
Which is the worst thing Trump could possibly do in a debate if he hopes to win.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I think the modern generation will view the debate as entertainment void of any real practical solutions or plans layed out by the candidates to help improve the lives of Americans as they struggle to pay their bills, put food on the table, and to stay above the waterline in general.

At this point, it would not surprise me in the least.

Trump can say whatever fool notion enters his mind and his cult following will lap it up as god given gospel.
Entertaining the rubes is the Trump Trolls strategy at this point, keep his audience happy and have Dems react to his trolling and sound like Karens.
Dems need to just point out that Trump is not presidential and just a troll with no plan at all.

I will confess it freely -- I am very worried. It is my absolute conviction that a second Trump presidency would be catastrophic for the nation, and no bloody good for its allies. I think it could take years to recover, if recovery is even possible, the nation is so abysmally divided.

So why do I worry. Because I'm not blind enough to know that it is very possible that Biden could stumble, and even minor verbal glitches will be used viciously against him. And that could top the balance -- which presently I believe leans toward the left.

(Note: Trump could also make some pretty bizarre verbal gaffes, but his followers don't seem to notice or care when he doesn't make a lick of sense.)

For those with access, there is an interesting article in the New York Times on CNN's absolute control of this debate.

It looks like even Trump knows that backing out at the last minute would be very very bad for him, so they are lying about Biden. And each lie is actually an admission of guilt. Trump has said that maybe he will pretend to lose. That did not go over well at all. So now they are lying about Biden using various drugs. Ronnie Johnson . .. oops, I meant Jackson is lying about Biden being on drugs. He is accusing him of using various drugs to fight signs of senility. Oddly enough he proposes that the drugs that Biden is using are the same ones that he supplied (possibly illegally) to the Trump White House. And now he is demanding that Biden be drug tested but has made no such demands for Trump.

I would not mind personally if both sides were independently tested for drugs.

The “Biden is jacked up” rhetoric from the right is silly. Biden is 81. He stumbles over words sometimes. He moves like an 81 year old. I have ZERO problem with my president being on performance drugs at critical times in his presidency, whether it’s for the State of the Union address or when he’s meeting world leaders oversees. I want him at his BEST.

Trump is only the “worst debater” when it comes to formal rules and expectations. He would fail any debate class. However, his total dismantling of established politicians on the debate stage in 2016 was impressive. For better or worse, the world had never seen anything like it, and those career politicians had zero tools to combat Trump’s uncouth ways.

I have no more free articles this month. Can you give us a synopsis?
The article discusses the following:

1. CNN is in total control. They choose the moderators, the stage, the set design and so on.

2. CNN has been struggling, but they outmaneuvered their competitors to land this exclusive opportunity.

3. Candidates will be muted when it’s not their turn to speak. It will be interesting how this will play out given Trump’s history of flaunting the rules.

4. The debate will be simulcast by other networks but they must show the CNN logo.

5. There will be two ad breaks during the 90-minute debate. Somewhat unconventional. The other networks can show ads but CANNOT have their anchors come on and provide commentary.

All this seems good for CNN. But in this case good for CNN does not automatically mean bad for democracy or for the American people.

CNN is going to make a lot of money out of this. And maybe they should be required to donate some of that money to a worthy cause. But that was not part of the deal.
