Christians aren't so high and mighty they hold the keys to society. We desperately need more heretics like Thomas Paine to help put them in check.

These politicians can say whatever they like about their background, but they are not credible, in my humble opinion.
As many dems don't believe what Trump says.
I don't believe Obama is a Christian.
I am sure his wife is a Christian, but there are millions of couples made up of believers of two faiths.:)

I respect all religions. I suppose his religion is another, other than Christianity.
As for Biden, I believe he was raised in a pretty elitist milieu, so I don't understand what he means by that statement.

By that logic there is no such thing as a conservative Christian, considering their political ideology is antithetical to Christ's teachings and examples.
Also, we can dismiss your claim of faith just as easily as you dismiss Obama's.

Because I appreciate atheism and rationalism immensely. :)

As I said, I don't think the 44th POTUS was a Christian.

Who said anything about atheism? Christians don't have a monopoly on the concept of God.
What's your basis for him not being Christian? Your assertion is worthless otherwise.

Back when he was elected I thought he was a Christian, like MLK.
Then I figured out that his wife surely was, but he wasn't because his faith was elsewhere.
Which I profoundly respect.

I admit, it's annoying that Biden inflates his relationship with cultural groups. Still, I prefer that over inflating his ego by exaggerating his worth like the former President. At least one is an attempt at building relationships, as dishonest as it might be.
