We had a budget surplus for a short time under Clinton. The right took us into deficit again with a tax cut mostly benefiting those on top.

I see the right as utterly hypocritical about the deficit - just trotting it out when the left is in power and ignoring it otherwise.

I'm actually a fiscal conservative and find that under Democratic party management the deficit typically grows less.

I read the moniker "fiscal conservative" in terms of only wanting to retain what one likes, and desiring to cut everything else.

In that sense, I am a radical fiscal conservative, since I approve of only retaining public services that directly or indirectly benefit the working class, and cutting unnecessary fluff like military expenditures or tax cuts.

I dunno. All I know is prices are absolutely skyrocketing right now. Gas, food, you name it.

Not here at least for what we buy. Gas prices are roughly stable. The prices in the farmer's market likewise have not changed recently.
