What would you do if you come across a bigfoot or a sasquatch in the woods? Would you shoot it with your gun? Run after it to find more about the creature? Take pictures of it? ... or something else?

I would stop right where i am and wave at it, just to let it know, that i mean no harm. If it doesn't run away after seeing me, i'll probably offer a few snacks, by putting it on the ground and moving back a few steps, as a sign of friendship. :=)

Wave at them? All the evidence leads to the conclusion that if they exist, they are very shy and avoid humans at all costs. Your best bet is to not move at all or only very slowly to get your camera and try to take a photograph.

Yes i can always try and take pictures but it might frighten the creature. Besides, I'm a believer. I know they exist from all the native legends that I've come across and so i don't really feel the need to possess any physical evidence. I'll be happy and content with the thought that i came across one. :=)

Maybe take some pictures or video but not show anyone except really close friends. Make it a media sensation and people would go tramping in the woods being a nuisance and upsetting the ecology.

Also, 'foots are better left "undiscovered" if they exist. They are wise to stay hidden.

I'd do like I do with anyone else I encounter. If they didn't make eye contact or acknowledge me in some fashion, I would let them go about their business. If they did, I'd probably interact with them as I would with any other animal.

Man, I was expecting a very different topic when I saw the title!

One time, when I was listening to the Sean Hannity Show, either Hannity or some other man was talking about Bigfoot sightings, and that person expressed his opinion that Bigfoot is not real. Then, he jokingly mentioned a farmer saying, 'I saw Bigfoot on my land, so I chased him away with my broom!' Something tells me a man with a broom is not going to scare off a large muscular creature.

Anyway, if I came across Bigfoot in the woods, I would avoid making eye contact, and I would slowly walk away in whatever direction I would have to.

In real life I probably wouldn't have a gun or snacks on me but I would have my cell phone. I'd stop and hope for a non-hostile encounter and quickly walk backwards if it is threatening. If it appears friendly I certainly wouldn't leave the scene but grab as much information as possible with my eyes and camera.

And then I'd get called a hoaxer by internet skeptics. Oh well.

If I see a Sasquatch, then I would observe it from a distance in a non-threatening manner. I wouldn't try to approach the creature, and I wouldn't take any pictures or video. I've already decided that if I have an encounter with one, then I'll respect its privacy, and I'll protect it by not documenting the encounter or telling anyone where I saw it. Personally speaking, I hope that Bigfoot (and other cryptids) remain undiscovered by man. Lastly, if I'm fortunate enough to encounter one someday, then I hope it won't be the Tsul' Kalu (Cherokee Devil). FYI, it's commonly believed among Sasquatchers that there are several species of Bigfoot in North America.

Yeah my answers the same as it was when this first was posted. I would respect bigfoots privacy.

My answer also remains the same as when I first posted it.
