Birth control pill: it will be free in Italy

Since preventing unwanted pregnancies is better than having an abortion (ethically), we have decided to implement a law that will make the hormonal pill for women (i.e. etinilestradiol + drospirenone) free. Paid for by the National Health Service.

I guess it is extremely coherent to have a State that discourages women from having an abortion and provides them with the opportunity to have a carefree sex life. To avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Its effectiveness has been proven.

Since we are a Catholic country and we will not yield to the abortionist drift some politicians advocate for, we have decided to implement a law that will make the hormonal pill for women (i.e. etinilestradiol + drospirenone) free. Paid for by the National Health Service.

I guess it is extremely coherent to have a State that discourages women from having an abortion and provides with them with the opportunity to have a carefree sex life for free. To avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Its effectiveness has been proven. German and Italian pharmaceutical companies (I cannot mention them) produce these effective oral contraceptives.
You think it's "coherent" for a supposedly Catholic country to provide free birth control, something that's also condemned by the Catholic Church?

Officially, yes.
But not quite de facto. Thinking of Pope Luciani and so many bishops and cardinals who don't condemn it.
Since it's more grave to have an abortion.

De jure but not de facto? Interesting approach.

Is it? Both are mortal sins, supposedly.
They are not even comparable.
The birth control pill are artificial hormones that somehow deceive the woman's ovaric cycle (and the woman's sexual apparatus), by ingesting a relevant dosage of synthetic hormones that will make the ovaries believe that the woman is pregnant and so the ovaries will stop producing egg cells. Because the artificial hormones (etinilestradiol+drospirenone) prevail over the natural ones (which are weaker, 17 beta estradiol, estrone and progesterone).
That is why these synthetic hormones, taken regularly perfectly regulate the menstrual cycle as well.
But the most important result is that there will be no egg cells in the woman's uterus.

In the abortion, there is a life.

I think you misunderstand me: I said that the Catholic Church categorizes both things the same. I didn't say that it's rational for them to do this.

If the Catholic Church were rational, it wouldn't consider abortion a sin at all.

The Catholic Church disagrees with you.
I mean. To be fair, there have been many polls done in Western countries that suggest that the overall Catholic general public haven’t and indeed don’t actually agree with the Church’s stance on this issue.
(I believe that overall church attendance is correlated with the results. If you get me?)

A woman's trump card, with men, is sex. Men have a daily cycle; daily sperm and hormone production, so most young men crave sex all the time. Woman, are more monthly in term of hormonal balances and learn that they can cycle sexual desire and/or use sex as a tool for fun, profit, as well as for conditioning males. This tool has a shelf life and works best when the bloom is on the rose. Like an athlete, a career can be short.

Pregnancy can become like a season ending injury for any women wishing to play the game. Even a loving husband may pull back on sex late into pregnancies. Women can get paranoid, when she can no longer control her man's desire. Abortion is valuable to many women, because it is like a a sport medicine procedure, that can shorten down time; back into the game.

The problem with abortion, besides the expenses, is that all woman are not always sure what to do, and some will linger in indecision, for nine months and still expect all options open for the game; sports medicine at playoffs. The abortion bill is different in the sense, it needs to be taken soon after sex. It appeals to the most hard core gamers, but not as much to the indecisive women with conflicting needs; become a mother or keep conditioning a lover.

I often wonder why women get so animated when abortion or the abortion pill is threatened. It is all about love for the game; battle of the sexes, with little concern about the unborn, who is hit in the cross fire. It reminds me of an athlete who wants to compete at a high level, so much, that they will use chemicals; steroids, that they know will harm the body; price of glory. Abortion goes much deeper than the surface of things, with gamers a different type of mother; gender inductions.

In Italy most women are Catholic. Do you really think they care about the Church's stance?
No...they don't care. They all take the pill, in Italy. :)
So why keep up with the insincere charade? Just leave the church and let it fade into obscurity. It's nothing more than a front for pedophilic predation, anyway.

Yikes.

Five dollars says this man has never touched a woman.

Where is that? Gossiping with my female friends, I have heard that finding a straight passionate man is like finding ice in the desert.

Individualistic religiosity is something that arises independently from what the Vatican says or dies.
And yes, the Vatican keeps disappointing people.
I don't know if you heard what transpired from the Vatican Girl documentary.
