Because of debacles like the Tuskeegee Experiment, African Americans are wary of vaccines promoted by the gov't..
Tuskegee Syphilis Study - Wikipedia
I can tell you one thing that it is not any organization's policy to use race as a consideration in vaccination opportunity. The article mentioned mistrust by blacks to be an issue.Does anybody know why this is still going on?
Because the medical field has a history of inflicting horrible abuses against them. I barely trust them and I haven't been through anything compared to them.
Good catch!*Black people get vaccinated at lower rates under Trump*
*Biden gets sworn in*
*5 minutes go by*
WHAT THE HELL BIDEN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??
Where? I've lived in the hood for most of my life (not at the moment) and a hospital is always just minutes away, and there's a health center (the major one that takes state and federal funding) right in the middle of Downtown where many of the shelters and homeless are. They take walk-ins and don't care what your income is, as well. That's in Ohio.Black neighborhood also lack medical clinics/hospital due to the consequences of seregation and the way public services are financed in the US.
Still? Biden has been in office for one week!
Does anybody know why this is still going on?
What what is going on? Threads created with the intention to reinforce or deepen the tension, divide, and animosity between liberals and conservatives?
I don't know. Ego, maybe?
Take a brake from the petty and dishonest muckraking and actually read the article.
I dunno. There have been many incendiary threads, probably in the hundreds already directed at conservatives but this time, its different, its now directed at the man in charge who is not a conservative. Double standard? Why is what is going on? Threads created with the intention to reinforce or deepen the tension, divide, and animosity between liberals and conservatives?

Yes. People make excuses as to why those most vulnerable are not getting the vaccine first. That's what I get.Take a brake from the petty and dishonest muckraking and actually read the article.

And you think you can make this judgement on Biden's competence, one week into his administration? Really? How do you know he is not listening to the experts?I dunno. This time its an issue that actually is happening. Biden, who is claiming to promote equality and fairness, already has this happening right out of the gate. This stuff is supposed to be planned and it again, like expected, it not well thought out and even ignorant of facts.
Mainly this fact...
https://www.sciencenews.org/article...can-americans-vulnerable-covid-19-health-race
US blacks 3 times more likely than whites to get COVID-19
Yet Biden's administration seems to be doing everything but listening to the experts on vulnerability and those most needing and requiring the vaccine.
As vaccine rollout expands, Black Americans still left behind
Thats why, I asked the question why.
Or is the Biden administration just giving lip service and never intended to actually do what he claims and promises to people?
Animosity towards the basket of deplorables and the complicit is good and necessary, despite the fact that it impedes the liberal slide back to its white privileged comfort zone. Why is what is going on? Threads created with the intention to reinforce or deepen the tension, divide, and animosity between liberals and conservatives?

It takes a lot of work, and many positive encounters with healthcare providers. It's not an easy process to undue something so deeply ingrained.I can see that. Thing is, whats going to be done to rectify the issue?
