It's very simple. If you are or are not a blasphemer.. Peter rejected Jesus, and he was accepted despite his weakness! We all come short of God. Jesus has paid for your sins. You are pure if you can only let go of your vanity and give into Christ!

Jesus said this to the Rabbis who said he was possessed. Jesus then stated, "And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come,"

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, and speaking against such is unforgivable.

Yes, that is something that must be accounted for. But God does not take in such rabble as far as frustration. If one finds Jesus and has not dismantled man, then you shall walk in Heaven. To say otherwise is to be a scare tactic from Christ's words himself.
Something to think about before issuing someone to hell, friend...

Mark 3:28 Truly I say to YOU that all things will be forgiven the sons of men, no matter what sins and blasphemies they blasphemously commit. 29 However, whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever, but is guilty of everlasting sin.”

To blaspheme the spirit means to speak abusively of God himself, to become a slanderer or opposer of God like Satan did. It means to actively work against God and his purposes. To willfully attempt to disrupt or defy Gods will.

But only God knows who truly blasphemes his holy spirit. No one can judge another of such an action because it is for God to judge as he sees what is in a persons heart. Romans 14:12 So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God
If you think of the apostle Paul as an example, you might think that he was blaspheming Gods spirit when he was rounding up christians and ordering their execution in an attempt to put an end to christianity. But the fact was that Paul was misguided in his loyalty and lacked accurate knowledge. So the things he did, he did in ignorance and not in an attempt to defy Gods will or purpose. he actually believed he was doing the right thing in opposing christianity...until Christ appeared to him and informed him that he was in fact opposing God.

Satan did not act in ignorance when he deceived Eve in the garden. He deliberately tried to hinder Gods purpose and he continues to do so. The name God gave him, Devil and Satan, identifies him as a blasphemer of the Spirit. His name means 'slanderer' and 'opposer'
Apostates are blasphemers against Gods holy spirit. They are those who have come to an accurate knowledge of God (such as Judas iscarirot), but have turned against that knowledge and choose to actively work against the leadings of Gods spirit and they do it deliberately and willfully and remain unrepentant.

If you have to wonder if you are a blasphemer, you probably are not.

If only the majority of people knew they were already in hell, friend.

I would say that a blashphemer of the holy spirit is someone who hates God and everything good that God stands for. A lot of atheists are more against religion and hypocritical religious people, religious leaders who are greedy that con ignorant followers out of their money and live like millions while claiming to spend the money on poor starving children aroound the world, religious leaders that abuse children sexually, mentally, emotionlly and physically, perhaps while performing "exorcisms", who lie to people to get their money, false prophets like Harold Camping that make up dates when the rapture will take place, make up prophecies not found in the Bible and gain followers that give them their life savings believing they are great Christian profits of God. What about polygamists in the west who control and dominate their many wives and children, never elt them have the freedom ordinary American enjoy? Muslim imans that encourage terrorism, violence, oppresion and cruelty toward women, all these religious leaders, cult leaders, perhaps they are the true blashphemers.

There are atheist that hate the idea of a good, loving fatherly god who cares for his creation like they are his children. They refuse to beliee in a creator and say the Bible is a book of fairytales. There are pagans that claim the God of the bible is oppressive cruel, tyrannical harsh, demanding, his laws are unfair and oppressive, he does not give us freedom and Yahweh doe not offer true free will because if you go against him he will sentence you to burn in hell for all eternity.

To commit blasphemy not only would someone hate god but they would hate Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit too, and they would love the Devil, the spirit of evil. Most people are too spiritually ignorant of who God really is and how evil, twisted and deceiving Satan is and how much Satan wants to destroy them and devour their soul, and how desperatly God wants to save them, to comit true blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I think everyone's missing the mark on this passage. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is a condition of the heart that generally means the person as seen all the proof they need to accept Jesus but they're unwilling to attribute that proof to God. It's when people see folks being healed and/or having other types of "power" encounter with the Holy Spirit yet they attribute it to magic or devils instead of acknowledged it as God's work. I heard it best said once that if you're worried about whether you blasphemed the Spirit then you HAVEN'T blasphemed the Spirit.
