Blood Magic

Do you believe in blood magic? How powerful is it? To what lengths does it bond two people to engage in blood magic or drink one another's blood?

I do, I feel blood can be a very powerful tool.. How do you mean by does it bond two people together though..?

Well I mean let's say a friend were to propose to you that you drink each other's blood. Would it bond you together in anyway?

Do you mean like if I drank your blood you would become my minion and do my bidding? 'Cause I could totally get into that, I need more minions ;) :angel2:

(I'm just trying to figure out Exactly what you mean so I can honestly answer :))

Gentoo I'm asking does drinking another person's blood bond you to that person in a specific way? Like bind you to their energy or anything?

I get that, I guess the troublesome part is to what effect? Does doing so make you blood-brothers, make one a slave to the other, and whatnot? My answer to that is no, blood doesn't physically do those things.

I am asking if it links you in any sense. The reason being I done it before

Well since I did it I feel like he and I are forever tied together in some way. So I figure there must have been some power to it.

Blood play for sexual purposes creates a very strong bond. I don't know whether you would call this more blood magic or sex magic though.

Okay to make sense of this(was drunk).
Yes I do believe that 'Blood' Magick has power behind it, in fact I believe all Magick does. What matter is your 'Will', your intent. If 'You' believe that the drink of this other persons blood has given you two a strong bond, then it has given you two a strong bond.
And I realize that my 2nd sentence in my first post make no sense.

I have some blood magick planned for this fall. To me, it is a way to involve sacrifice in magick while putting myself into a spell. I do not intend for it to be drank by anyone though and I will be alone.

Sometimes during Workings I do a little blood-letting with my ceremonial Atheme. Sometimes I'll charge a Magical sigil I've drawn on parchment with a couple of drops of my blood. I also remember back when I was about 17, my best friend and I became blood brothers during a Satanic ritual. So, at least for me, blood magic has been and can be very powerful. However, I wouldn't drink blood... well, maybe a couple of drops mixed in with my ceremonial wine.

IAO Set!

Well that's the only blood magic I've ever done. I usually as a general rule abstain from ceremonial magic of all types, just because I'm not one to try to manipulate the universe to suite me, plus I would rather pray and ask, although I'm aware that's also a form of magic.

Hey, Senedjem,

All real Magic comes from within... though there are a few exceptions (which I won't go into here). And yes prayer is a form of Lesser Magic.

BTW, I see that you are a follower of Ma'at Egyptian goddess of Truth, Justice, and Balance. Ma'at is one of the primary Neteru that I Work with on a Magical level.

Xeper em Ma'at= "Become the Truth of thy own Being."
