Its strange how all this scientific knowledge in religious scipture only becomes apparant after a scientists have discovered the knowledge through research.

Que the excuse that the authors didn't know enough about science to explain it more clearly in scripture when God revealed the knowledge to them. Of course if God had just dictated to them it would have saved us the trouble of doing all that research and then having to go through a convoluted interpretation of the scipture to work out that the scripture had it all worked out years ago.
