Bomjon

Breathe

Hostis humani generis
I like his hair. But then again, I'm biased. :D
What I want to know is how come he didn't have his hair shaved in when he was initiated into monkhood.

Otherwise, I don't think of him as a bodhisattva or buddha. Enlightenment, possibly. Boddhisattvahood, no, not yet.

Engyo

Prince of Dorkness!
Don't know, haven't met him.

From the Mahayana viewpoint, we can all function as bodhisattvas at various times; taking on that aspect in order to assist another person. Many times we may not even realize this is happening. This doesn't mean we remain permanently in that state, of course.

Friend xkatz,

Each individual travels his own journey and so is *bomjon*.
His ability to meditate for many many days is something which others like me can learn and develop such patience to be meditative for months.
