In addition to my last post i would like to add again, If you leave your children with no direction there won't be anything to hold them back when they step to the edge.

Apparently, I have a strong desire to be born again, as I've spent much of my time and enegy on trying to get back inside vaginas. I've yet to find one large enough to facilitate this goal though. The search must go on.

Uhhhh, I've got the phone number of a girl in Kentucky you should meet.

Ever since the appearance of Misty, and after reading her "Let the children Decide" thread, I noticed how the term "born again" is thrown about like so many banana peels.
So, what I would like to ask is;

What is born again?
Who is born again?
How does one become born again?
Is being born again a personal choice, or is this choosing from someone or something else?

I'm interested in your thoughts on this and Bible backing if possible would be lovely.

Discipline is the only means to actual change. As a devout Christian of the LDS faith I believe one is born again when they realize they have the ability to change. Being spiritually born again of G-d is when one realizes they have the means to change and become divinely disciplined.

Thus being divinely born again is to change from an individual with fallen worldly and selfish ideals to a citizen of a divinely disciplined society. It is my opinion that if you have to tell someone you are a Christian or a divinely born again before they realize the possibility – that it is best you reconsider the possibility of what you really are.

Interesting thought - giving a person a fish will feed someone for a meal but teaching them how to fish will feed them for a lifetime. Likewise - teaching a child direction may keep them from the edge before them for a time but teaching them how to determine direction will guide them forever more.

Sometimes it appears to me that many become lost just getting out from under the last crisis.

We put more on our shoulders then we realize. Getting it off can cripple you as easily as putting it on. Hmm but i think i would example what i was saying by let them know the danger of the edge is real and when near it you must tread lightly or you can easily trip. Some might climb down, parachute down, use a rope to get down, but all of these are recognizing the danger of the reality that the cliff will kill. Some take a harder way because they have that right but it doesnt lessen the danger. Personaly i think i'll wait till their done building the elevator :D

Born again to me is just the ending of your old life and a new beginning with Jesus. Since all Christians are supposedly born again, then if someone says "born again Christian" is kind of redundant. Some may also use the term to put themselves above "other" Christians.

No, but it means criticizing Wiki as "just a site for opinions" seems odd when opinions are all you can get anywhere on this topic.

I think the issue is that many take 'Wiki' as they would an 'old school' encyclopedia. In other words, opinions are stated as if they were fact at times. This can be misleading or fail to adequately represent the full scope of the subject. Discussion forums on the other hand bat around these subjects while we all discuss our opinions and sometimes quote or reference a source that can be accepted (hopefully) as an authority. Wiki sometimes is, sometimes is not, that objective or knowledgeable authority.

Anyway, that's my opinion....for now at least.
