Bradley Manning Sentenced to 35 Years

And? This is nothing new and does not change the stockpile of beneficial information he released followed by the fact it put a lot of operation on halt till they could sift through what is leaked and it was not small PDF file I can assure you of that.

This is no different then Snowden although Snowden is a traitor to the very end. He released nothing new or secretive at all. The tech community is laughing at the issue to this very day. Snowden is more of a naive idiot.

Manning on the other hand is a true enemy. Nothing else can be said
China doesn't seem to be laughing over what Snowden revealed. Manning and Snowden are both heroes who revealed a handful of the unethical and unconstitutional acts of the United States government. It's hard to convince the public that troops are heroes when they see the troops butchering innocents.

Snowden revealed something not unethical at all. If you have a problem with what Snowden did then you know nothing about the government.

This has been going on for 20 years and no longer needs to be refuted. There is no way on earth you can say that without being a criminal of some sorts honestly as only such an individual would have to go worry about it.

TSP's store the data for decades and now it is wrong when the government does so. :biglaugh: Snowden did not reveal anything in which I already knew as a teenager. You really need to know what you are saying and understand the politics behind this

Wow what an attention wh***.

Thats not true. You should probably read up on the reactions from european countries.

Why would I concern myself with the major populous? I am specifically referring to the tech community and the people who understand it not international upheaval.

Perhaps another, careful, rereading of my post is necessary. And how is the government illegally spying on its citizens in any way ethical?

And Dick Cheney walks about free as a bird.
If I was Manning I'd want to be treated like a politician, not a civilian.
Politicians are rarely tried for any crime. If they were treated like us little folk, Nixon,
Clinton, Johnson, Spitzer, Holder, etc, etc would all have been shank'n each other.
(That would make a great reality show!)
Anyway, Manning committed a very identifiable, serious & loathed crime. Jail is appropriate.

It is unfortunate that is the reality of the situation, but any system could not handle the consequences of such loose justice, let alone one that is already as chaotic and complicated as ours. She had to have known it was a huge risk, had to know the chances of getting caught were very high, and now she dealing with the consequences, as any traitor/martyr must.
But it has served as a nice cover-up for the government to take the attention of their misdeeds away from themselves, which I'm sure our government is very aware of and taking advantage of it as much as they possibly can.

I would like to see an immediate Presidential pardon, but that would just set the warmongers hollering for an impeachment.
So at least a pardon as Obama leaves office.

If people like William Calley can be pardoned, I don't see why Manning can't.

What I said was the revealed abit of it. A portion of it. Not the entire picture or some striking revelation that something nobody knew was going on, but they put out concrete evidence of some of what's going on. And not only that, it was a dirty government doing that was released before it was declassified, unlike many government scandals that go unnoticed until no one cares anymore and the information can safely be declassified without defaming the federal government in the eyes of the general public.

What Snowden did was reveal a known fact that was ignored. The proposal was brought up many times in the past and nobody heard of it.

I am the only person in my own family to have even known about this before hand. I honestly thought everybody knew this. I am still shocked people are surprised by this considering the notion was passable since it is not spying and falls under the technacalities of the NSA's authority which is

DATA POOLING and COMMUNICATIONS(phone) INTELLIGENCE
