I read the bumper stickers at my UU local church today. You can tell alot about whom you celebrate your spirtual journey with by the bumperstickers on the autos in the lot. I started this with my friend Roger (an atheist) back in college when we would dojo hop --which is martial arts slang for training at other schools. We kept a mental journal of bumper stickers at the various schools and tried to draw theories about who would be inside the buildings based on the bumper stickers. Nothing serious but it was alot of fun. Today I was thinking about that and as I went to my UU church I took a mental note of some of the bumper stickers. Here is what I read today.
"born again pagan"
"I was a republican Bush made me a democrat"
"Everything she touches she heals" (in reference to pagan worship)
"All religions have a piece of the truth. Dalai Lama"
"Children should be heard listened to and believed"
"Doing my part to ****-off the religious right"
"Celebrate diversity"
after that lots of peace signs....some liberatarian signs including one that said "vote libratarian"
no republican signs no crosses...
what is on your congregations bumpers?
