v27 is what my husband would recite to me whenever he would hear from his family any judgment about homosexuals, nonbelievers, liberals, moderate Christians, Muslims, pacifists, etc.

Interestingly later in that chapter the ("good") Samaritan provides the example of how to treat one's neighbor. Samaritans were not Christian nor Jewish.

Those who prophesy against Jesus Christ and work against God and his righteousness, are our common enemies. because they are purposely working against us.

We love and forgive them, but we still need to remember that they are working towards our moral destruction, in what ever ways they can.

Therefore they become an enemy.

Jesus said we should love our enemies, but notice he still calls them enemies.

Just because someone doesn't believe in God doesn't mean they are working towards moral destruction. Though my morals are rooted in different ideas than yours I imagine we still hold somewhat similar morals (probably not exactly the same, but not enough to argue that my morals are leading to some schism).

I think you need to be less worried about defining your enemies and more worried about finding common ground and realizing that your "enemies" are only termed so wrongly.

The only person who's silly is the one who insists that he knows there is a God or that he knows there isn't a God. None of us know for sure and it's really pretty arrogant of any of us to throw out insults at the rest of us.

I never, ever said I knew for sure. I believe I am right, but do I know it? No. So I can believe in something enough to say how I feel about it. Just like FFH believes he is right (and, to my knowledge, he does insist there IS a god). And we all know he believes it enough to say something about it.

No, I do not mean you exclusively. My post was directed towards everyone and I do not mean just the people in this thread. FFH has several threads that people basically use as a shooting gallery. I know the guy is not completley there, but he isn't very confrontational either.
