We're talking about Marin County (not Orange County) types threatening the far more powerful fed.
This tantrum would fall off faster than a prom queen's dress.
That certainly has the potential to be messy.
I'd expect contractors to side with the fed, & disobey the state.
The fed is the contractor's bread & butter.
Could CA threaten national security by interfering with weapons research & procurement?
I do not think so.
Like I said earlier, California's been prepping for this for months so I'd give their officials a little more credit. It's also not a tantrum, it's fighting prejudice policies from President Cheeto and protecting the vulnerable that live here.
No one has a crystal ball, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
If I don't pay my taxes I get thrown in jail. The same should happen to these treacherous California lawmakers!

As Trump greatly expands spending on the military and boarder "protection".
The talk of secession & not paying fed taxes is impractical, & doomed to failure.
So this is indeed a tantrum.

But having worked in the defense industry (including in
CA), my money is on contractors favoring the feds.
Right: the only officials who can act illegally are the ones doing Trump's bidding:
