The talk of secession & not paying fed taxes is impractical, & doomed to failure.
So this is indeed a tantrum.
It's tactics, son. It's part of #resisting the current regime. You distract the bull with a cape etc before you do him in. Demonstrations, lawsuits, initiatives like this one, Senate Democratic action, election organizing, pressure on business, refusal to go along with the traitor's edicts - it's all part of the full press effort to slow down and hopefully stop the destruction of the USA.

And, after all, the right was singing the same secession song not too long ago and it's part of a great tradition. Residents In More Than 30 States File Secession Petitions | The Huffington Post as well as resisting the feds by the right.

But of course when the left does it, it's terrible and tantrums and everything else. It's perfectly a good idea when the right wants to do it including arming themselves to fight the army, of course.

There obviously is no direct benefit (at least initially) for the state of California to tell the federal government to get stuffed. It's called doing what is right and protecting people from xenophobic policies, but you're free to spin it however you'd like.

I'm fair & balanced.
Both sides take turns stamping their feet, pouting, & making empty threats.

Spin?
You presume too much.
I'm not even addressing what's right & wrong here.
Tis a simple prediction that withholding fed revenue will fail.

Your rant nullifies your stated religion.

No, he'll cut taxes for the 1% in true republican fashion. They don't pay taxes anyways, so it's a win win for him. The middle class will take the hit.
Yes. Under his proposed tax plan my rate will be cut! And I am NOT part of the 1%!

I know understanding cause and effect is hard for you, but if he starts a trade war with Mexico and China your taxes will go up and the spending power of your money will be reduced.

Got a link to his proposed middle class tax break? Typically republicans stick it to the middle class and allow the wealthiest to benefit at our expense. I don't vote republican for mostly that reason.

I'm seeing a 2% cut for the middle class and nearly 15% for the 1%. Some middle class families will pay more taxes. He lied to get elected.

Donald Trump's Middle Class Tax 'Cut'
Trump would hike taxes for some in middle class
