Can A Person Be An Archangel Or A God?

On Discord, I was approached by a woman who said I am archangel Zadkiel. I said I do not find it likely that I am an archangel and while it is possible for humans to be angels/demons or have traces of angelic/demonic energy that claiming to be a major demon or archangel has issues that occultists will point out. She said no, you're one of the angels that I created and we consider you to be archangel Zadkiel. This surprised me quite a bit and made me wonder, what are the community's opinions on whether a person can be an archangel or a god?

I personally find it is unlikely and even if a god did choose to come down here in a physical body, It seems problematic to worship a living being as this leads to cult behavior.

It sounds like if you agreed and adopted that role it would be rewarding for this other person, because they get to role-play / delude themself into believing they have the power to create and/or identify spiritual beings of angelic proportions.

Also, there could be a bit of power grab, if they start asking you to worship them, or perform rituals for them, or what not because... ya know, you must do it, because they created you.

Or it could be a troll who is laughing behind the scenes at anyone who takes them seriously.

It's the wild west on the internet. People can say whatever they want, and pretend to be whatever they want.

In the case of all three, I think the best thing to do is to disengage. I am not a stranger to the internet so I have encountered people with mental health issues, though I do not wish to disrespect or be unpleasant so I just say whatever is polite in the moment and disengage.

Of course a human person can be an archangel or a god - if your religious and theological tradition supports such notions. As a Pagan and a Druid I worship living beings and persons routinely - the land, the sea, the sky, and all the creatures of this earth including some human ancestors - and it really is not a problem. Gods are that which are deemed worthy of worship. What the relationship looks like from there is often very specific to the culture and individual in question. So to me the way to approach this is to ask how this narrative would fit into your own lifeways. Is this how you see yourself? If not, then this is not your lifeway, it is that of this other person. You do not owe her to become wrapped up in her own narratives.

When someone who is psychotic tries to share their delusions with you, it is best to simply bow out of the conversation. Do it kindly, as they are sick and deserve our sympathy. But if you engage them, you inevitably feed into their delusion.

This reminds me of something I've come across within the New Age community, where a New Age person for some reason will get bored (or something), then try to indoctrinate someone else to be someone of high regard, and for some reason, it is like they want it, because they consider it a 'fun' way to interact with the person.

I feel such a practice does more harm than good, though.

You should take a test that analyzes your memory capacity and thinking ability. This will prove to you that you are or are not a god. A god will have so much memory and be able to think so clearly and so well that...they are a god.
