Folks are buying hand cleanser so that they can clean their hands at any time, after touching money, or handrails or anything. A bar of soap needs water, a towel etc.

Your comment is what makes it difficult for me to support Medical aid for all because I think it reveals a reality when it comes to us. We want to live whatever lifestyle we want to live and yet expect to be cared for by others. Granted I won't deny I am the same or similar based on how I was raised and my choices, but my conscience questions this.

And try making your own face mask that you trust to protect you from airborne infections. It might be as good. It might not. Is that what you would advise for till-operators, or other folks who cannot leave their posts?

There is a possible alternative to hand cleanser which can be kept in a pocket or purse, but you haven't thought of it. It is clear 37% (or stronger) alcohol in a small vapouriser. Spray on hands, clean hands, let alcohol disperse....... dry clean hands.

Soap and water cannot sterilize like alcohol based cleansers. We just went to hospital and hand cleansing points are everywhere, just as I described.
