this is like a puzzle , the words mixed with each other , can you give us the source ?
Thanks for the effort. I used to be a member of the 'shiachat' forum, and I got blasted for asking questions on the Isma'ili faith over there. Those who responded were very rude and arrogant, I thought. I didn't think they liked the Isma'ilis too much, but that didn't answer my enquiries, nor in which interested me...Salam.
I can read the words "Muhammad" and "bifadlillah" (by the grace of God) but I can't read the rest. lol.
But I asked some brethren here for you: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235031780-the-calligraphic-lion-symbol-of-ismailism/
Maybe they can read it.
Yeah...like a puzzle alright, and the words are mixed up. It's a symbol of the Isma'ilis....I believe it belongs to the Nizari sect of Ismai'ili path. I'd like to talk to the Nizaris myself, and I've tried but I basically just got brushed offthis is like a puzzle , the words mixed with each other , can you give us the source ?
btw this looks like praying sentence .
Thank you for that....I can't understand the writing, but Ali was known as the 'Lion of God' which would account for the shape.
Thank you, and you're quite right..the artists should convey the message of their work. I wish the Isma'ilis would...There are other similars too:

Mutanabbi’s Lion

One feels, the calligraphers should write as note, what they are trying to convey.
Time is the precious bounty of Allah the Exalted.
I can't understand the writing, but Ali was known as the 'Lion of God' which would account for the shape.
No it was Hamza radiyallah anhu who was known as Asadullah Lion of Allah.
I hope that your heart has nothing bad toward Ali a.s.
I hope that your heart has nothing bad toward Ali a.s.
Ali was named as the lion of Allah. Even the Sunnis mentioned this in the titles of their books: here is an example:
مناقب الأسد الغالب مُمزق الكتائب ومُظهر العجائب ليث بن غالب أمير المؤمنين أبي الحسن علي بن أبي طالب
Written by Ibn Al Jazari..
You can find the book here:

Ali was very close to his uncle Al-Hamza...A title can be applied to more than one person.
Sunni muslims have of course nothing against Ali (even though Servant of the One doesn't define himself as a sunni if i'm correct).
Just that you know
Lol u must be kidding right
Ali radiyallah anhu was fourth caliph of muslims, loved by believers.
But truth is that only Hamza was called Asadullah. And yes Ali radiyallah anhu was brave warrior.
With this attitude, you will only harm yourself!
Who will you accept from?!
Here is Hadith from the prophet, from the Sunnis themselves...with a direct link to the Sunni source..in which the prophet says about Ali:
" هذا أسد الله وسيفه في أرضه على أعدائه"
"This is the lion of Allah, and his sword in his land against his enemies"

So "Servant_of_the_One1"...Believe!
Ya Shia Islam,
Only Hamza(who is also ahlulbayt member) was known to be called Lion of Allah.
Only a nasibi denies that Hamza was called Asadullah!
By Allah i do not know of trustworthy narration that called Ali a lion of Allah(Asadullah). This name is purely for Hamza uncle of Prophet Peace be upon him and his family. Other sahaba(Ali r.a included) were also fearless lions but the title/nickname Asadullah was only for Hamza r.a. Just like Khalid ibn al walid radiyallah anhu was called Sword of Allah, yet there were many swords fighting for Allah!
But yes Ali radiyallah anhu was a champion of islam, a warrior and amir al muminen(after amir al mumineen Uthman r.a died).
