Well can you?

Sure light makes things visible, brighter, without light the world would be a very dull place. But the light that brightens, that reflects, can you see it.

I know the scientific answer to this but am not posting it hear as yet, i want to see what other people say first

As far as my understanding goes, one can only see the reflection of the light off of objects, or when sunshine directly in to your eyes, the brain pick up the reflection through your eyes.

Probably this is incorrect, but i do not know.

No. One can only see what is illumined by light, not light itself.

As Jerry Garcia put it,

"I declare
Have seen the the light
Their walls are built
Of cannon balls
Their motto is
Don't tread on me.

Light that gets into your eyes and hits the retina is what you can see. You only see an object if some light comes from it into your eye, either emitted (like the sun, a light bulb, or an LED) or reflected (most objects).

I would say almost exactly the opposite. We only see light. We only see objects when light is emitted or reflected from an object. But even then, we only see the light from object.

You’re likely right. I was speaking purely based on personal observation and intuition.

Could be that's why I'm blind now. Because my retinas simply overdosed on light. ;)

My human brother the scientist taught me day light gases burning. Blue light sky heavens.

Natural light.

Said night time dark no gases burning.

Indoctrinated.

Said I know once earth fusion Atlantis. Crystal cities. Just a theme gods building inference. Non alight heavens.

So vacuum space sucking owned no gases alight burning.

Said sun body O cooling like earth big bang blasted. As it was a larger body in vacuum.

Said it converted earth mass and set gases on fire.

One day he says in science first higher memory male father self the daylight gas burning will be removed by vacuum natural law.

Why earth stopped burning. Vacuum.
Why gas in space owns no light naturally.

What he told my life female as the father of human science invention.

Light is about all we can see, given it must reflect off an object first, with the waves of light carrying information about the object into the eyes and to our brains. No light, no vision.
