PTC paper contains PTC (Phenylthiocarbamide), sodium benzoate, and thiourea. Apparently only those who have inherited the trait to be able to taste it can. How many of you have tried it and can you taste it?

Never even heard of it actually, What is it?
It's a type of paper treated with chemicals, only people who have inherited the traits to taste it can do so. You can get it from some science labs.

I've never heard of so I can't say. Is there any place, such as a walgreens or pharmacy or any other store where you can get it if you don't have access to a science lab?

Only a small minority of people can taste it. I can't. We experimented with it once in school. Most people said it just tasted like paper. A few said, "Yuck! This is horrible!"

Funny, we just did this in Biology lab a few weeks ago. I was not able to taste it.

Well, I don't know if I can taste it, cause I don't recall us ever trying that in science class at school (I remember us making sherbert, and me flinging a spoonful into my teacher's ear from across the room...purely by accident, of course... :162: ).

The ability to smell arsenic is another thing you need to have inherited the gene for (#442 in the List of Useless Information You'll Never Have A Use For :p ).
