That is how we avoid getting stupid billionaires.

You guys should try it. You could have avoided so many problems.

Unfortunately, it doesn't affect the genetic lottery in which some 'winner' get to inherit mommy and daddy's wealth...
I think the aforementioned Canadian method should apply here.

You want daddy's money? Answer this .....

I actually kind of miss doing those. And, sadly, one of my siblings cousins, he's very wealthy because he was born into it, but although he works as an accountant I've see his math skills and they aren't that good. Somehow he manages to work with numbers and keep his job despite not even knowing the order of operation. He could not even answer such a rudimentary, easy as it gets question like you posted.

Nothing I can stand for less is an accountant with lackluster math abilities. But, in today's work world all that's necessary is to know how and when to press buttons (and as always, whose boots to slobber over).

I get the whole abandoning cursive writing thing, no big sweat. Math might still be important.... maybe... hopefully.

Arithmetical ability is often abysmal. On the TV last night during a panel game show, an adult female was asked to add 45 and 46. She got as far as 90 before being stumped.

That is, if she isn't suffering from dyscalculia, and where she might have advised the people in control as to this.
