capitalism for adults and socialism for minors

hello, all! I'm back again.

i was reading some of the discussions here and abroad about the two theories and i think i've come up with a sketch of what I think would be best. I think it's unfair that children have to inherit the wealth and, or lack of because of things that have nothing to do with themselves. i dont really have any ideas as to how this would work, but i think minors should live within a socialist system and adults should live in a capitalist one.

if you have any comments on this I'd like to hear them.

Hi, Terry.

the problem is, i don't know how much more details I can put in without becoming another speculator. i just think that both theories issue relatively acceptable premises. For capitalists a notable trait of any person is self-relliance, but I think currently children and consequently adults grow up without having the chance to truly enter the market. The son of Bill Gates and my own child are not competing based on abilities or even how much we contribute to the market.

i also have problems with socialism and motivation, but i think it's ideally what most people would want. we see more people in support of public health care for children than the general population, for example.

I'd actually like to see others' models.

Reason, and reason again
I like the idea as part of the larger transition stage, but I too would like to know how it could work. Kids would get what they desired so long as they attend school and adults would compete for it? I don't know how that would flow.

Kinda the way it works now.... parents go out into society and must make a living in the free market.... and their kids have everything taken care of for free: food, shelter, health care(God willing), etc.

Socialism doesn't seem to be hurting the value of the Euro these days.

I agree. Teenagers may dabble in the free market, but can repudiate contracts at age 18 they sign as minors.

That's a funny thing to say when the livable regions in the continental USA is larger than all of the livable regions in Europe and you factor in the 400 million difference in population.

it's like comparing property prices in a city and in the country.
